Copyright Act 2003
The Copyright Act 2003 and the Copyright (Procedures for Rent or Reproduction of Copyright Works) Regulations, 2019, give authors and publishers, through the Copyright Society of Zanzibar (COSOZA), the right to "be compensated by the Public Library for the use or lending out of their Copyright Protected Works in Public Libraries free of charge."
